About Me

My photo

My interest in hypnosis began many years ago when I played in a band that opened for various other artists.  Among the artists was Dr. R.E. Bellows.  I was fascinated with how people reacted on stage when under hypnosis.  When I talked with Dr. Bellows about hypnosis, I learned how it was not only a venue of entertainment, but a means to help people better their lives.

Is Hypnosis Mind Control?

Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness during which an individual is able to exert heightened control over sensory modalities through suggestion and imagination. The hypnotist under this definition is not seen as controlling the patient. He is viewed as an educator and guide of the patient's ability to control his own sensory state.

Contrary to a popular belief, people under hypnosis are
not captive and spellbound. They can resist direct instructions that are at odds with their wishes, values, religious convictions or moral standards. For this reason, it is not as easy as one might think to make people do things against their will with hypnosis.

Is Hypnosis mind control?   No, not from the perspective of the hypnotist controlling your mind, but rather from the understanding that hypnosis places you in control of making positive changes in your life!
